Digital Photo-Graphics. These works proceed from source photos of tree bark that include prominent cracks. The photo is subsequently desaturated and hyper-contrasted to reduce it to pure black and white pixels, abandoning the original photographic gradient. Background artifacts may be manually removed, and in some cases the image is blurred/posterized to smooth the figures. |
